Snow Day 5. The girls and I spent some time enjoying a warm 40 degree day. It felt like t-shirt weather outside after the last 4 days. The ice is melting and people are starting to emerge again. Yesterday we enjoyed a nice quite day out. Today was crowded and the traffic was terrible. Ahh, back to the real world.

As promised we escaped the the house today to brave the icy roads of Alpharetta. We did a little shopping and had a nice lunch at a very empty Jason's Deli. Ellary's school is cancelled again tomorrow because the roads are still extremely icy in places. In fact, I have been talking to Adam on and off during his drive home and he keeps having to detour to get around accidents. Pardon the photo quality, this was taken on my phone in a dimly lit restaurant.

Capitan's Log - Snow Day Three. The crew is getting restless... ok, ok, the crew is fine, the Capitan is getting restless. Today we painted, colored, played games, watched movies... and spent some time "swimming" in an extra long bubble bath. School has been cancelled again tomorrow. Tomorrow we will venture out.

Snow day #2 = pajama day. The girls and I did brave the roads this morning because I had a midwife appointment (my 20 week) and I couldn't call first to make sure they were open. I should have known better that the entire city was still shut down. Don't worry, my mad Oregon driving skills didn't fail me.

We got about 5 inches of snow last night. It's not too often we get coverage like this in the South.
On this day in 2009 we were visiting the fish hatchery in Sweet Home, Oregon with Grandma.
