Big sister Ellary can't get enough of holding her new little sister.

Pile O' Pillow Pets.

Daddy took Ellary and Shila out to buy Keaton her very own mini pillow pet.

Cousin Cole was over for a visit.  Chillin in the club chair.

Ellary and Shila.  Ellary has always taken her role as big sister very serious.  Now she says, "it's going to be a lot of work because she has two to take care of."

Today was Ellary's last day of school.  She had a great day and when the school bus dropped the kids off in the neighborhood the parents were waiting with a water fight.  Ellary and Shila had a great time and came home soaked!

After they got home, Adam took the girls and went to Costco.  I don't think poor Shila was up for the task.

Because I checked out of the hospital the same day I had Keaton, they made us agree to take her to our pediatrician for a check-up today.  Everything was perfect.

On this day in 2006...

Adam and I (and Ellary) were in Palm Desert visiting Fran and Jeffrey.

We spent the day at Leo Carrillo State Park.  This was our favorite beach in Los Angeles to hang out at.

Welcome to the world Miss Keaton Blake Richter!

She was born at 4:51 a.m. (a mere 14 minutes after arriving at the hospital) at 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 21 inches long.

We are at home and doing well.

May 25, 2011

We had a very busy day today.  We started off with my midwife appointment, went to Ellary's school for her end of the year party and ended the day with a make-up birthday for Shila.

My midwife appointment went well.  Everything looks great.  The baby's head is at a zero, so she is right there, just waiting to make her entrance.

A little teamwork blowing out the candles.

May 24, 2011

Welcome back to the land of the living!!  I was finally able to eat some food today and it made all the difference.  Once I got some food in my system I was able to build up some energy and get out of bed.  I tried not to get carried away and make up for all those sick days, but I did manage to get a few things done.

After Ellary got home from school we went to her "boyfriend's" house for a playdate.  I should say one of her boyfriends, considering she has like 4 of them.

This is a shot into the future.  The two of them sitting around having a snack and looking at the school yearbook.

Shila and Ellary were both very excited to meet Brownie, the guinea pig.

On this day in 2008...

Aunt Ingrid and Uncle Kerry were in town to meet Shila.

Sweet Shila.  She looks exactly like this upstairs right now, only bigger.

On this day in 2010...

Out for an early morning play session at the sand and water table.

I am still feeling crummy today, but all in all I am feeling better.

Ellary kicked off her last week of school with field day, a fun day of outdoor activities.  She came home with a bag of soaking wet clothes and lots of fun stories. Tomorrow she gets to bring in her favorite board game for "game day."

May 22, 2011

Just a quick post to update you all on my status...

I had another horrible night last night and ended up going to the hospital today for dehydration.  Nothing came back in my blood or urine tests and there is still no definitive reason for why I got sick other than it must just be pregnancy related.  They gave me two bags of IV fluids and anti-nausea medication. I am still pretty weak and my stomach is very sensitive, but I am feeling much better.

Thanks to Taryn and Molly for all your support today.

Here is a picture of me in the hospital and Ellary and Shila living it up at Taryn's house (I couldn't get the pictures of the girls to rotate on my phone so forgive the configuration).
