We had a nice day today with our friends the Parkers and the Melendezes. Our fireworks were dampened a bit by the major thunderstorm that hit just at dark, but the dads managed to get the kids out and still give them a show. A fun time was had by all.
Nellie, Lila, Ellary, Shila and Sofia (not pictured Dennis, Lucy and Keaton).
We took Ellary to the Westchester Fourth of July parade in the morning.
And she splashed around in the kiddie pool with Auntie Raquel in the afternoon.
On this day in 2008...
Ellary and Daddy splashing in the pool at Grammy and Papa's in Palm Desert.
Shila hanging out in Daddy's lap.
On this day in 2009...
We left Nashville and drove through Kentucky.
Kentucky countryside from the road.
Then we drove through Illinois.
Illinois countryside from the road.
And we finally reached Missouri.
I have a better picture of the State sign, but I thought this one better reflected what the city looks like.
The arch.
We went down to the waterfront for dinner and walked around a bit.
But, we ultimately decided to watch the fireworks from our hotel parking structure instead of dealing with the masses on the waterfront.
On this day in 2010...
We had our friends the Parkers and Hearns over to the house.
We played with sparklers.
And caught fireflies.
