August 29, 2011

Ballet today!  Shila loves her ballet class.  We found out today they were cancelling the class because of low enrollment, but there is a ballet/tap class the same morning we can switch to.  Now, off to buy tap shoes...

Who is this child?  She looks so old/tall in this picture I hardly recognize her!

Bedtime.

On this day in 2006...

Ellary.  Check out the picture above, Keaton is a little less chunky, but she sure does look like Ellary.  I can see so much of both of the girls in her and at the same time she has a look of her own.

On this day in 2010...

We had stayed the night before in Memphis and decided we couldn't leave town without going to Graceland.

And of course we couldn't miss the opportunity to visit another National Park...

While in Mississippi we drove a portion of the Natchez Trace Parkway.  Used by the likes of American Indians to future presidents; 10,000 years of history has been documented along this 444 mile stretch of land.

You can see some of the mounds off in the distance.

Shila at the visitor's center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Walking along Old Trace.

Unknown Confederate soldiers' gravesites.

Heading to the car to make the long drive back to Georgia.
