View from the North Wallenda Tower Overlook.
The girls enjoying the view.
View of the North Wallenda Tower Overlook. In 1970 a 65-year-old man by the name of Karl Wallenda performed a high wire walk, including two headstands, across the Tallulah Gorge starting at this point. This picture doesn't do the 750 foot drop from the overlook justice.
L'Eau d'Or Falls
We walked down (and back up) over 500 stairs to reach this suspension bridge. The bridge hangs about 80 feet above the gorge floor and has amazing views of the river and the top of Hurricane Falls.
The girls had no fear crossing this swaying bridge, meanwhile, I was having a heart attack watching them.
On this day in 2010...
What a difference.
